Peter Hancy began playing tennis at the age of 4; by 6 years old he was playing with 10-12 year olds on a team at the club level.

In the 12's, 14's, 16's and 18 and under, he was ranked # 1 in the State of Victoria. At the age of 16 he reached a career high national ranking of 4 in Australia in juniors.

At 19 he came to the United States to play college tennis for Oklahoma State University 1993-97.  He graduated with a BS in Economics.  He was a Big 8 Singles and Doubles Champion, and was ranked in the top 50 players in the nation in NCAA Division I college tennis.

Peter became the Head Tennis Professional in a Country Club and the Head Men's Tennis Coach at the University of Missouri- Kansas City. The first year he coached the team to a Conference Championship (2000) which qualified them for the NCAA tournament. He  was voted Mid Con Conference Coach of the Year.

He was the Head Tennis Professional at Las Colinas Country Club before becoming the Director of Tennis at Hackberry Creek Country Club.   At Hackberry Creek he developed programs for juniors, ladies and men.  He was also the President of the Dallas Professional Tennis Association and served on the Committee for four years.  During that time he volunteered his leadership to the Dallas Cup, a fundraiser for the DTA (who donates to programs for underprivileged children) and  DPTA, and to the DPTA for their junior circuit tournaments.

He is a USPTA Pro 1 certified tennis professional and is committed to helping his students succeed in obtaining their goals.
